Will theater seating fit through your doorway?

Published 2026-09-21 · measurement-first, no hands-on claims — see the method.

An assembled row width does not establish whether its boxed pieces can reach your room. The catalog marks delivery access as not assessed. Use these measurements to ask the seller and delivery provider to confirm the route before ordering.

Record the route

  1. Measure the clear width and height of every doorway, including the space left by the open door.
  2. Record hallway widths, corners and the clear space available to turn a piece.
  3. Record stair widths, landings and changes of direction.
  4. Include elevator openings, cab dimensions and building delivery rules where applicable.
  5. Record obstacles such as rails, low ceilings and fixtures along the route.

Ask for the shipment dimensions

Request the boxed dimensions and weight of each separate piece, not only the assembled row. Ask whether backs or arms detach on the exact model, who may remove them, and whether doing so affects delivery or warranty terms. Do not infer removability from another model.

Send the measurements and route constraints to the delivery provider. A diagonal alone does not guarantee that a rigid object can negotiate a turn. Ask what additional clearance or handling space their team needs.

Confirm before paying

Keep the written answers with the order. The finder compares seating widths; it does not certify doorway, stair, elevator or delivery access.
